The Loggia is a massive square tower projecting from Norba’s defensive walls. Built for strategic and military purposes, it still stands nearly 15 metres above the embankment and over 11 metres on its exposed front, each side measuring around 16 metres. Dating to the final phase of the city’s fortifications, the tower once posed a formidable threat to attackers thanks to the powerful war machines it could support. Its popular name today, however, does not recall its original function but rather the extraordinary landscape visible from its top — a view that must have looked dramatically different in antiquity.
