The inner wall walk runs along a section of the castle’s curtain walls, between the Torre di Ponente (West Tower) and the Torre del Belvedere. It allowed control of the inner areas of the fortress and played a key role in patrols and defence.

As visitors follow this route, they can appreciate the principles of medieval military engineering and the organisation of the castle’s defences. Crenellated structures and panoramic views over the village and surrounding countryside reveal the features that once made the castle virtually impregnable.
